Mango Sobet Stands Alone

I have a lot of people at Supper Club that have a number of food challenges.  Cooking for them has forced me to look beyond sugar, flour, and butter for desserts.

This sorbet has only a few ingredients but loads of flavour.  Its main ingredient, mango can be difficult to find beautifully ripe in these parts, but frozen mango is not only affordable but great tasting too.  Keeping away from refined sugars this sorbet uses dates as a sweetener,  and coconut or almond milk for "cream".  The dates were simmered with cloves and ginger, adding interest to the mix.

Not only is it a fun recipe, but it's healthy as well!
